Over the course of her twelve-year career Sarah McColgan has developed a portfolio that blurs the lines between diverse cultures, genres and industries. McColgan has produced award winning work in the worlds of commercial, beauty, high fashion, celebrity, urban and portrait photography. A School of Visual Arts (SVA) graduate, McColgan began her career as an editorial photographer and has shot covers and features for magazines such as Marie Claire, Esquire, Interview, Redbook, Seventeen, Essence and many others. Commercially, Sarah’s images have been used in campaigns for several products, brands and celebrities including, Nickelodeon, Cover Girl, NFL, Pepsi, Rocawear, Heidi Klum, Nicki Minaj, Beyonce, Kelly Ripa, Sheryl Crow and Nick Cannon. On the big screen McColgan has been a featured photographer on America's Next top model and has appeared in three Cover Girl television commercials.
In addition to her commercial photography, McColgan is also currently working on her first coffee table book project. The long term project is inspired by a desire to create art with no boundaries. Influenced by the works of great artists ranging from Picasso to Basquiat, this body of work will provide a view into McColgan's life as a creator and purveyor of culture.
